The high pressure pump speed is controlled by a temperature controller that controls the spray drying chamber to an exact temperature by chaging the speed of the pumo to correct variations in inlet temperature, product feed temperature and product feed solids. The variable speed controller allows for minimal use of the Bypass Relief Valve thus protecting product quality by passing it through the high pressure pump only one time. The use of the variable speed drive assures close moisture control in the final dried product, which usually is physically monitored.
